The Office for National Statistics predicts that by 2024 the over 65s will make up more that 20% of the population.
Just to put that in context, it means that in 4 year’s time there will be more people over 65 in the UK than there are young people under the age of 15. There’s currently plenty of debate about how this ageing population will be cared for. The government favours solutions that don’t involve care homes. So it’s no wonder that the Imagefix team has done a lot of work with domiciliary care providers this year.
Francis House Homecare provides support to elderly people who need care, but want to retain their independence. Their small army of professional carers provide personalised care packages which range from sharing hobbies and preparing light meals, to dementia care and medication management. They approached us for a website refresh and digital marketing support.
As the home care sector grows, providers are working hard to market the services they offer to private users. This is a relatively new market, for both providers and ‘consumers’. Francis House could see that their website wasn’t reaching their target demographic, so they asked Imagefix to help.
We suggested 4 key areas of development:
The combination of PPC campaigns and organic SEO ensures that Francis House is seeing substantial growth in traffic to the new website, whilst at the same time moving towards a high ranking spot on Google. Visitors landing on the website for the first time are provided with useful resources on the services offered, and clear navigation to those resources.
We’re continuing to work with Francis House on the strategies that return the best results for them. Our marketing team constantly tweak and test the messaging, keywords and tone which will land with their target demographic best. It’s exciting to know that we’re forging new paths in this relatively untrodden terrain.
